Hi, I’m Nancy Frey, a northern Ontario beef farmer. I am the founder and maker of BFF Naturals. In the summer of 2024 I recognized growing consumer interest in beef tallow skincare.
Myself and my husband, Farmer Al, operate a 110-acre pasture-based beef farm near New Liskeard, ON, where we sell meats, local produce, and other goods through our on-farm store. Committed to whole-animal use for both ethical and practical reasons, I began formulating beef tallow-based products in my farm kitchen in June 2024.
Today the BFF Naturals line includes six handcrafted offerings: whipped tallow balms (for face and body), lip balms, deodorants, farmhouse lard soaps, healing salves and tallow-beeswax candles. All our main ingredients (tallow, lard, beeswax and raw honey) are sourced locally from farmers I know personally. Other ingredients (certified organic oils, and more) are all sourced from reputable Canadian companies.
At BFF Naturals, everything comes back to the farm — to the animals we raise with care, the land that sustains us, and the community that supports what we do. Each product is made in small batches, using simple, wholesome ingredients you can trust. Whether it’s a whipped tallow balm, a bar of farmhouse soap, or a cozy candle, every item is crafted with the same pride and integrity that goes into all the work we do here on the farm.
